09/30/2008 - Shooting - Commonwealth Drive, Charlottesville, VA, VA, United States

A gunman is on the loose this morning after a fatal shooting at Autumn Hill Apartments on Commonwealth Drive. Police say that a gunman walked into an apartment off Commonwealth Drive and started shooting. One person was killed and two others injured. Albemarle county police are still on the scene investigating the shooting. At just around 11:30 last night police responded to a call of shots fired. Witnesses told police that a man entered an apartment where there was an altercation and then shots were fired. One man was fatally shot; two other men were taken to the University of Virginia Medical Center with non life threatening injuries. Police are unsure if those men were injured by gun fire. There is no word yet on their conditions.

09/17/2008 - Shooting - 260 Colonnade Drive, Charlottesville, VA, VA, United States

Three men are in custody in connection to that shooting that killed 23 year old Travis Scott. It happened at the University Heights apartment complex, which houses many UVa students. Three men have been arrested in this homicide investigation. Two of the men arrested are also Albemarle County residents and are currently being held without bond. Twenty year old Stacy Lamont Berry has been charged with murder and 20 year old Maricus Antwan Rawlings has been charged with robbery. "A 15 year old male Enterprise student has also been charged with robbery. This juvenile that was charged with robbery was the one that we located that had an injury from gunshot wounds, the third victim that was reported last night," said Lt. Hopwood. This incident apparently started as an attempted robbery and ended with a man being killed. Albemarle County Police are not releasing any more details at this time.
